Chapter Four Excerpt:
Feeling decidedly wrong-footed and determined not to show it Arthur scoffed, “I am King Arthur reincarnated.”“And nobody gives a shit. All that favouritism? That’s because of Merlin,” Will said with all the sweetness of someone who knew exactly where to twist the knife. “I know you’re muggle born, but you must have noticed. No one in the magical community gives a doxy’s arse about King Arthur, or Guinevere, or the stupid Knights of the Round Table.”
Arthur had noted a distinct bias in many of the texts Hermione had gifted him. In wizarding tales, Arthur wasn’t the hero, so much as a hapless chosen one, successful only because of his trusted magical advisor.
“Merlin was the greatest wizard who ever lived. And you’re his king. Well, in another life,” Will said callously. “Soon as they realise Merlin isn’t coming back?” he gave a pathetic, fake pout, “Say goodbye to all your new mates, and hello to watching your back for bat-bogey hexes like the rest of us.”

Summary
Damian had been many things in the eight years he had been alive. He had been a trainee - eager for knowledge and advancement, he had been a loyal son to the al Ghul lineage, and he had been a merciless assassin.
He had never been the son of a billionaire warrior.
He did not know what was expected of him when he arrived in Gotham city, not exactly, but he did know that his mother had given him all the tools needed to figure it out. He had his training, his knowledge, and the sword that hung heavily on his waist.
What else could he possibly require?

Or, Damian is dropped off (cough, abandoned) by his mother and sent to live with the Batman to continue his training. He thought he had the perfect plan for proving himself worthy of being the one true Robin (defeating Tim Drake), that is, until Grayson forbids dueling and his father refuses to train him.
