Salazar Slytherin was a great wizard. Many could attest to that.
He gave a piece of his mind to the Sorting hat. The artifact that sort the children to their houses.1000 years later the hat still exists. It might be a bit worse for wear, but it performed its duties as it should. Or, that’s what Salazar would like to say. Now, as he sits beneath the hat in the body of one Harry Potter, he can only despair that the hat clearly had to much of Godrics influence.

In Jake's quiet fury at the dismissive, heartless way everyone spoke of his brother's death and the complete lack of empathy he found at every turn and corner, he decides to find a way to live the best life he can possibly conceive, with the opportunity Tommy left behind for him: a fresh start on a new world... just not exactly the way the RDA vultures meant.

Summary
Benji didn't mean to stay in Mystic Falls. He was honestly just passing through to make sure that Damon hadn't killed their last living relative. As soon as he saw that Stefan was there, he planned to dip out. But when he comes across a sobbing boy on the fringes of a party in the cemetery, he can't find it in himself to leave.
It's a good thing he didn't know about all the chaos that would soon be unleashed on that tiny town someone aptly named Mystic Falls.

Katherine never meant to turn Benji. She only had him drinking vials of her blood so that he could stay in good enough health to be her personal music box. It was Stefan who placed the final blow and ended his second life forever. Benji comforted himself by diving headfirst into the evolving music scene of America. It's in the midst of the early jazz movement that he fell into the lap of a certain Original vampire. Who left him unable to breathe a word about the love they shared.
(After prologue, story will start before S1 as a Jeremy/OMC fic and evolves from there using canon elements as much as possible. Plots will shift but many things will remain the same. Expect the usual nonsense crack that is the actual canon of the TVDu.)- Language:

Briar Theodore Evans was born the 30th of January, 1960 at 8:32 pm. A whole 6 minutes before Lily Jane Evans, who followed at precisely 8:38 pm. This wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. At least, it’s not how Briar remembered it happening when he read the books. Not that there was much he could remember about Harry Potter’s parents anymore. It had been years and they were such a small part. . .

Briar may’ve come preloaded with the memories of a 23 year old—who once held a close to encyclopedic knowledge of the Harry Potter Series—but that does little to actually help him become powerful enough to fight Voldemort. He’s only capable of so much while stuck with a child’s brain and forced to grow up in 1960s & 70s Cokeworth England. Not to mention his less than ideal socio-political positions in, not just one, but two new worlds.
Struggling to gain enough power and knowledge to save Lily, Briar fights to reach his only life goal.
If only other people would stop distracting him. . .
