Summary
Hannibal loves intimacy. He loves knowing and exploring Will. He loves owning his thoughts and understanding even his smallest quirks.
The first time Will notices this, he feels unsettled, but he’s unable to say no. More than that, something inside him grows warm, filled with feelings that make him want to curl up and anchor himself to Hannibal.

Post-canon ficlet. Will and Hannibal are already together, past wounds healed, and their romantic relationship is growing. Will had expected that path, what he hadn’t anticipated was just how much Hannibal would want to dote on him… and how much he would end up wanting that too. -

Bedelia swallows hard and drops his suitcase, her palm sweating on the leather of her own. "What are you planning to do?"
Hannibal’s face lifts for the first time, the moon’s twilight light illuminating his sharp features, casting him as death itself, his dark, reddish eyes glowing with an emotion that sends a shiver down her spine. Bedelia then understands tha any semblance of a human facade has vanished from his appearance.
And with a single word, nothing more, Hannibal Lecter promises hell on earth.

Will wakes up in a bed far more comfortable than usual, rested, with the scent of delicious coffee filling his nose. The problem is, none of this fits with the nightmare his life has become, especially after killing Randall Tier. Even more so when he gets up and comes face-to-face with the monster he loves—only here, he’s living with him, in a relationship, because, fucking Christ, he’s woken up in an alternate universe where they’re together and happy. Clearly, someone out there hates Will Graham.

A fix-it for season two, where Will finds himself in a parallel reality where Hannibal is not a cannibalistic murderer and loves him. The worst part is that his own Hannibal somehow continues to communicate with him in dreams, urging him to return. He’ll have to make a choice: stay with the man he loves, who has never hurt him, or return to the world that has given him nothing but pain. -

Summary
Will's greatest fear is that Hannibal might love him intensely, want to consume his mind and body, but not desire him sexually. Sure, Will knows Hannibal slept with Alana and probably Bedelia too. But both were part of his schemes. And he is so murky for his empathy that Will can’t quite read him well enough to understand if sexual desire is part of his character, or if his pathology makes him incapable of feeling something so vulgar.
The mere thought of either scenario gives him intense stomach pain along with horrible mortification.

Post canon. After the cliffside and months of quiet companionship, Will Graham knows what he wants: to sleep with Hannibal Lecter. Of course, it’s not that simple, because the fear that the damned cannibal might seize the opportunity to fuck with his mind again—or worse, that his pathology might render him incapable of feeling something as vulgar as sexual desire—has left Will stuck in a frustrating limbo. In the end, he has no choice but to use the alcohol ruse to test the waters and find out if their relationship can move into the physical realm or not. -
