    Summary

“You always hated her,” He seethed, pointing the tip of the sword towards Nhae’ruk’s chest, taking calculated steps forward until it was mere inches from her throat. “Always hated me.” Nhae’ruk paused, his words confusing her for only a moment then, in one fluid movement, she drew her sword and pushed his own away from her throat.

“You think I hated Caterina?” She mused, arching a brow as Lucanis bared his gritted teeth in anger. “No, Lucanis. She hated me.” Lucanis lifted his sword, turning on his heel in a circle to bring it down upon her again.

“Liar.” He snarled, as his sword clattered against her own as she deflected his attack. She drew her knife not moments after he drew his own, pushing away from one another until their weights drew to one another again, sword against sword, knife against knife. Nhae’ruk could feel his ragged breath on her face as he spoke again. “Caterina revered you.”

Set in an alternate timeline, where the world ISN'T ending. This fic is entirely self-indulgent, as I had some really fun angsty dreams and desperately had to write them down! Please enjoy! <3

At least if there was one good thing about working with the Dellamorte’s, it was that they spared no expenses. Anywhere. Potentially expendable getaway cars included.

    Summary

Rook’s gaze flicked back to the flowers, the carved stone, the hush that seemed to press in from the walls. “And now her name’s gone,” she said, quieter now. “Even to the Fade. Even to time.”

Her voice trembled, just slightly. “She loved a god. And he loved her. But no one even remembers her name.”

Lucanis was quiet for a moment. “He remembered.”
    ---
In the depths of Arlathan Forest, Rook and Lucanis uncover a forgotten shrine to Dirthamen.

Not a cruel god’s grand, imposing temple, but something far more intimate.

    Something quiet.

A place where even a god can be loved.

Some secrets are meant to be kept. Others, to be shared.
