When the Covenant attacked our mission directive changed, we became the bulwark of humanity.
We were hailed as heroes, the greatest legends. Demigods. Just our presence bolstered morale.
How could I ever accept those labels?
I was just a fake, a washout, I wasn't strong enough to protect them. A failure, time after time.
I had to see them die, so many times. It shattered my soul.
I would do anything to keep them alive, to protect my family, what matters.
I’d give my life, time and time again.
For that’s my duty.
A Spartan’s duty.

A Re Zero Art Dump of various versions of Natsuki Subaru from If Stories, to Fanfictions (includes Crossovers) and simple ideas taken from comments.
Some Fanarts are Reimagined to act like the Invincible War from the series Invincible but this whole art dump is just a standalone concept drawing down people's ideas, the main if routes and fanfictions of people.
Sometimes it can be related to the actual Variant War or just be a simple character sheet totally unrelated. This is for fun, not really being serious about it.

Summary
This is essentially just “What if Subaru was a magical girl?” lol. Let the chaos ensue!
Firstly, YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE SEEN “Gonna be the twintail!” TO READ THIS FIC! The only aspect it borrows is the magical girl bit; everything else is just basically a normal re zero fic save for a frankly absurd amount of references to everything you can dream of. Infact according to some readers this fic is actually better on its own.
Secondly, This is entirely just me being inspired after seeing chapter 44 of, Variants, Variants, and more variants by EternalWhisper the goat. Do go see that fic for a plethora of great art including a good chunk of Re:Twintail art of the main story, some IF routes, and hell even the custom IF Route (Thank you Eternal!)
Thirdly, This fic is written with the goal of getting Reader input! If you have an idea just say it and I’ll see if I can fit it in!
*also do note this is not only the first twintail fandom fic in over a year, but also my first fic ever! :D
Alright, with all that out the way, let’s get going! hope this isn’t too bad although it probs will be.
