Summary
This is a story about the rise of one woman and the fall of another. Taliesen is a Dalish elf thrown into a position of power, and intends to use it to benefit her people however she can. Calpernia is a formerly enslaved Tevinter mage, who lost her command when the rebel mages freed themselves from Venatori servitude. Both wanting to fix everything about the world that has wronged them, but circumstances place them on different sides.

Summary
Santa Monica has offered them sanctuary from so many of Arcadia’s torments in the short time they’ve been here, save one. Rachel feels bare, naked so close to Chloe, and now there’s nowhere to run—not that she’d think of running, of course. There’s nothing to veil the sparks that light in her eyes at Chloe’s affection, nowhere to go to douse the fire that sets when she thinks about them and us and Chloe.
And now they’re domestic, to top it all off, and Rachel’s heart swells in every instance of mundane care offered to her, adding more kindling to a blaze Rachel’s sure will consume them both imminently.
How the hell is she supposed to not burn beneath Chloe’s gaze? How the hell is she supposed to keep from setting her own flames and burning that one final trouble to ash?
How the hell can she give Chloe the love she deserves when Rachel isn’t even sure it’ll last?

Surprised, shocked, and a little confused, Chloe blinks down towards the joint in her hand before lifting it to her lips and digging in her back pocket for her lighter. “Sorry, I guess I’m just a bit…”
“Surprised? Shocked?” Rachel’s smirk tilts. “A little confused?”
Chloe lets out a huff of laughter around her joint. “Yeah, literally exactly that. How long have you been…you know…?”
Rachel shrugs with an all-too casual roll of her shoulders. “Transgender?”
