Summary
🕸️ they never did love her mother.
“Pa wasn’t no daddy, Merle might’ve been my daddy but he’s long gone, and you for sure ain’t my daddy, so get off my ass.”
Destiny Dixon is fucking strange. It’s the only way to describe her. She gets yelled at for staring at the lady friends her Pa and her brother bring home. She’s gruff and unsociable like the rest of her family, and she doesn’t look like she even remotely belongs to them. Her mama, a—probably illegal—Mexican woman that Pa had never wanted to admit knocking up. She’d married Will Dixon, suffering through his infidelity and addictions, and promptly kicked the bucket when her daughter was five.
The good thing about being strange and a Dixon is that there isn’t anyone to see you being an awkward, unsociable asshole. Dusty—she hates Destiny, makes her sound like as much of a whore as her mother was—had spent her childhood isolated with only immature grown men for company, and now that the dead are rising and she’s been thrust in to a camp full of rather normal people, Dusty’s gotta get her shit together. She can’t rely on her brothers forever.
On an indefinite haitus (again again).

Summary
♱ she’s stained, always has been. Nothing will ever get it out.
“Seeing you just made everything too real.”
The winter has been long and hard, Carl’s down to his skin and bones—he really isn’t the man he pretends to be. Even so, hiding behind his mother's back won’t get him anywhere, yet when the men that call themselves ‘The Claimers’ show up and rip Carl away from what few things he knows, he just wishes he could crouch behind her, rest in her shade.
♱
Mandy Dixon has done shit she isn’t proud of. Fought fights she shouldn’t have, gotten into bed with bad men, but she doesn’t live like that anymore. She’s a wife, a mother, a nurse, but sometimes you don’t have a choice.
On an unfortunate day Mandy is separated from her husband and his methhead brother, leaving her to fend for herself, and her children, alone, and when the situation to presents itself, a boy who is closer to home than she thinks.
On an indefinite haitus (again again).

"I know what you're sayin'... So, time heals all wounds, I guess..."
A brief moment passed as he tried to figure out what to say in response to her words. His eyes flickered into the trees; he could barely make out the figure moving in the near distance. And yet, a rare smile tugged at his mouth.
"It wasn't time that did it."

Joel was a survivor. He lasted this long alone, and it seemed he didn't need anyone else. So, when a sheriff and a redneck invite him back to a prison, it was hard to accept the invitation. Especially when they ask him three dumb questions, who keeps count of how many walkers they've killed anyway?

She didn't really fit in at school or at home, but she supposes that doesn't really matter, now that the dead are walking. All that matters is that she keeps breathing. At least, that's what her dad says.
