It is snowing at Ashinaka, and Misaki, the breaking of dawn that Saruhiko longs for, gets his flame snuffed. It hurts, the mark he bears from his old king, but neither pride nor warmth comes to mind.
Munakata stares out at the Homra members, their king dead on the other side of the water, and where his captain sees a flurry of falling cherry blossoms Saruhiko only sees Misaki.
