Summary
The lyrics of a song John introduced to Sherlock, haunts him. Sherlock leaves 221b because he can’t bring himself to live there alone without John. Mary is dead, and John still blames Sherlock. It takes a small tragedy to shake John into action. Will he come on home? Season 4 fix it (kind of) with third person, multiple POVs (John, Mrs. Hudson, and Sherlock).

Summary
In May of 1891, Sherlock Holmes fell to his death at the Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland. Every day since then I tried to tell myself not to think about it anymore, to let him go, but every day without him felt like a farce. My life had shattered so completely that I believed it could never be glued back together again. Sometimes I wished I'd actually had the wife I'd given myself in the stories I'd written for The Strand Magazine; at least then I'd have someone to lean upon, even if my heart still belonged to Holmes.
