Summary
Mandy is restless in Birmingham in 2008. When her next footstep is in 1918, she must rely on her wits to survive. An unlikely pair takes her in and helps her out. Mandy isn't sure when she can return to her own time, but finds many reasons to stay.
Tommy has just returned from the war. He's not the same person he used to be. That man died in the mud in France. He must learn who he is now, and deal with the challenges of living. This extra time he's been given is sweetened considerably once he hears Mandy harass a cop.
