In his nightmares, Crosshair is always alone. If his siblings are there, they are the victims of some evil Crosshair is powerless to stop on his own and he cannot reach them. Most often though, it’s just him, the way it was for those long months after the war ended.
The way he still feels sometimes when he sees the rest of them embracing new lives while he’s left floundering.
