N doesn't know how to earn J's respect whenever he comes back to the Spire. All he's ever met with is abuse and physical trauma time and time again, but he doesn't know what he's done wrong. He's apologized, he's been nice, and he even tried grabbing her a mug which did little to stop her from smacking him silly.
V decides to offer up a small bit of advice to a guy she doesn't really know, if only to avoid getting dragged into the next argument between her squad leader and whatever his name was.
What she didn't expect was for N to take her words so literally.
