Summary
A bird cannot love freely when caged - even more so when he’s caged in a cage of his own creation. A cage made of lies, manipulation and petty games so old that everyone forgot the rules.
Simon Crenshaw’s dead, but that changes nothing. Or maybe it changes way too much. In any case, Simon’s death was just a small obstacle standing in Will’s path, a device used to hurt the real monster at hand - Edmond, the Earl, Simon’s father. The real target of Will’s revenge.
A bird cannot love freely when caged - but what if you made the bird believe you have the key, what if you tell them you are their saviour, what if you give them hope?
Will is not hope, not some champion. He’s the darkest force alive ready to feast on the souls of innocent. But is this what Sarcean really was? Pure evil? Or were some parts of his decisions buried by warriors of light?
It’s time to get some answers.
