Summary
Winter has come early to Toussaint. Emhyr var Emreis is on his way back to Nilfgaard and crossing the Sansmerci Pass when his entourage is attacked. Thinking himself the only survivor, he is determined to make his way back to Toussaint on his own. Night is falling fast and when he finds another survivor of the attack it becomes clear that they will have to spend the night on the mountain amongst the raging snowstorm.

Summary
Reunited in England, Ali and Lawrence reconnect after years apart. Can they put back the pieces and salvage what was lost? Were there any feelings there to salvage?
Sounds angsty but its really mainly romance with some angsty flashbacks. Based on the film so there's historical inaccuracy, though I've tried to anchor it with truth.
In this story, Lawrence never re-enlisted.
