Summary
Returning to Sandrock after a grueling two-day hunt, Logan discovers that a wild yakmel has attacked Lucy and Andy, leaving the town's beloved builder seriously injured. With her independence temporarily stripped away for weeks—possibly months—Lucy has no choice but to accept help from the protective yakboy and his enthusiastic son.
As the three adjust to their unexpected living arrangement, Andy's well-meaning but chaotic attempts at caregiving create both disasters and delightful moments. But in the quiet moments between accidents and laughter, something deeper begins to build between Logan and Lucy—something neither of them planned for, but that might just be worth constructing together.
