Summary
Jimmy screeches to a halt, jumping in surprise as he notices an unfamiliar figure standing before his parent’s portrait.
A young elf was studying the painting, judging by the large pointy ears sticking out from his shoulder-length, unruly teal hair. He wore far too many layers for the beachy climate, elaborately patterned sweaters and cream pants perfectly tailored to his pale complexion.
He couldn’t be more than eleven or twelve, staring up in wonder at the portrait depicting the current rulers of the Ocean, Jimmy’s parents. The light glistened off of his bold hair, and he seemed increasingly ethereal in beauty as Jimmy shyly approached. He waved and the older boy startled, revealing small, white owl wings behind him that flutter in surprise, much how a fluffy cat would puff up in unease.
