Shadow Milk stood back up, leaving the Ancient laid down, his robes already rolled up slightly, his bare ankles and shins exposed. It felt quite exhilarating actually, to be pushed back for once, by a fully clothed, and much shorter person.

By the end of the sixth period, he had been given back his English test. The exercise had simply been to write in English about how yesterday had gone. He had been praised for the content of the short essay, but he still got four crosses scattered throughout the writing. All spelling mistakes.

To be fair, Satoru wondered how funny the sound would be, of Getō’s many arm braces and chains, when his fist collided with Satoru’s cheek.
So why hasn't it happened yet?
Satoru knew what made the other man tick by now. It was just a matter of time before the alarm clock started to ring out in protest.
Impatience was simply getting a hold on him, but Satoru knew he would be rewarded soon.Or punished.
Same thing really.

Well, Gojō Satoru’s eyes make every other pair of eyes in the world look dull and drab in comparison. Truly, they’re the kind of eyes poets would write sonnets about; Suguru has never seen anything like them. Even hidden behind his round spectacles, Gojō Satoru’s eyes are bright and beautiful and impossibly blue.
Lethal, too — especially when the software engineer wields them like a weapon against weaker men. Men like Suguru.
