He found him on a street. Both his arms were bug scythes, there were mandibles all over his cheeks, and one of his eyes was wrapped in dirty bandages. He could tell from the few bits of human skin he could see that this man was starving. Only his bug mutations were keeping him alive. Everyone avoided the alleyway where he was resting. He had no home, and no one to help him.
Now he understood. At least with this one. This one was truly a beast undeserving of speech. This one... this one truly understood him, understood what it meant to be a filthy wretch wrapped in a stinking bag. A starving beast locked outside in the freezing cold in a barn. That’s what this Gregor was right now, after all.
