Summary
Shinsou Hitoshi has essentially been packless since his parents died. He's been in foster homes, but none of them want to scent him or treat him as pack. In fact, he's not even allowed to follow any of his instincts as an omega. Between that and the quirk discrimination, his focus is purely on becoming a hero to spite them all. He was even able to get attention from Eraserhead off all people, who offered one-on-one training for a potential transfer.
As it turns out, accepting that offer had the butterfly effect of finally getting a pack again.

Not everyone can be as lucky to be those high school sweetheart soulmates like the open secret that is Eraserhead's and Present Mic's bond. He doesn't worry about his soulbond because he has never thought of it working out. He just has to get into the hero course while surviving his foster parents.

This is it. Her baby boy is learning whether he has a quirk or not today.
Inko takes a deep breath. It doesn’t particularly matter to her whether he has one or not, but if he doesn’t, she will need to be prepared. Plans need to be made, and she will have to have a nice, long talk with Izuku about what this means for him.
And then, she will have to have another significantly less nice talk with Hisashi about Izuku’s quirklessness. After six wonderful years together, she has learned a lot about him. Specifically, his bias towards quirked individuals. He has stated that he wants Izuku to have a strong quirk.
It could go either way, honestly. Inko’s side of the family has a long line of weak quirks and outright quirklessness. Hisashi’s side has strong, heroic quirks.
She loves Hisashi, she really does. However, if push comes to shove… he will not be hurting her baby.
