Levi hadn’t meant to find the sky in Erwin’s eyes, but he’d never seen the sky before–not really. Glimpses of stardust and moonlight through cracks in the surface and pitfalls do nothing to truly uncover the beauty of the open, blue sky. No, Levi had never seen such a brilliant blue and hadn’t known it existed. He blames that blue on him losing the fight against the taller man; it’s the only way he could’ve gotten the upper hand on Levi. It had to have been that blue. The Underground is dark and damp, the colors muted, everything awash in a cloak of grey. So, when he finally stepped up to the surface and saw the sky for the first time, all he could think of was him.
