Gideon ends up being "kidnapped" by Dipper as Dipper tries to find out why Gideon things everyone hates him when all the evidence is to the contrary.

Summary
Nine hours after leaving Gravity Falls, Dipper and Mabel return home to Piedmont, California, reunited with their parents for the first time since summer began.
Back in Gravity Falls, the Northwest family moves into their trailer park, Preston Northwest having invested their remaining money into stocks in hopes of making back their lost fortune.
Meanwhile, Wendy Corduroy contends with finding meaning in her life while handling her father and brothers. As summer break in Gravity Falls reaches its last few weeks, Wendy helps the new Mr. Mystery, Soos Alzamirano Ramirez, as he figures out how to run the Mystery Shack.
To the north, in the Arctic region, Stanley and Stanford Pines search for gold and glory, while contending with their pasts, especially as Stanley's memories continue to return.
