Susie shouldn't get so hopeful like this, since it's bad for her to daydream, to light up at the slightest chance of being something she's most clearly not and expect too much out of herself.
Because she will always end up feeling crushed and miserable, the burliness of her thick fingers and claws reminding her time and time again that she and the prospect of laying another hand on the piano are simply incompatible.
A stupid, childhood fantasy that lingers at the back of her mind.
But it felt so nice when Kris murmured in the dimness that they would play the piano again if she did too.
