It was a bitter conjecture, one he did not truly mean, but it was also a test. And from the way her face paled, the look of utter agony that crossed her countenance, he wished he had not posed it.
A reimagining of Season 3, Episode 7’s wedding-eve confrontation, packed with angst, passion, and steamy moments. What if that purported scene involving prostitutes had not been cut? What if we could hear what Colin says to Penelope during their kiss? What if we'd had more time to let the original script's dialogue breathe and make sense? After months of post-season 3 polin brain rot, this is my labor of love.

All of these things should add up to her spending the week with a beaming smile plastered on her face and having the absolute time of her life. Instead, though, she starts off the trip fixated on the milestone-nature of this particular birthday and one life milestone that she wishes she’d already checked off by this point. Quietly resigned to ringing in her birthday in a few days’ time without making any further progress, Penelope is entirely unprepared for a very helpful offer from her best friend who just also happens to be the person she’d spent years previously hopelessly crushing on.
