Summary
Clara Macmillan had a penchant for the expensive. Diamonds, pearls, shoes, you name it, she had it, and if she didn't, she wanted it. So when she came to learn that her beloved piggyback had dried up, she shed more than a few tears. It had been her father's pride and joy to be named sacred alongside 27 of the richest wizarding families across Great Britain and to learn that he had used such a game to spend all of their money, and then some meant the time had come for Clara. She wasn't cocky, but it was clear to everyone in their family that she had gotten the looks whilst her sister had the brains, so it was clear to their mother and grandmother that Clara would be the one to marry.
The only problem now was the lack of significant dowry. A person with a notable fortune was becoming a further and further sight. So, at the mention of Harry Potter, her ears did nothing if not perk up; she'd seen him toss around galleons as though they were knuts, and she knew she'd found her future husband. Now, all she had to do was get him to agree.
