Summary
‘You sure talk a big game for someone with no experience. I bet you’d sing a different tune if you actually had a body for once.’
The Narrator sputters in response, floundering for a witty comeback. Stanley grins widely, as if the Narrator not immediately replying means he’s won somehow.
‘Thought so. Not like you could get a body anyway.’
The Narrator won't let a challenge like that pass him by. He doesn't take into account the fact that Stanley hasn't seen another body in who knows how long, and that he's a little bit touch-starved as a result.

Stanley and the Narrator escaped from the Parable once and for all, finding themselves in the real world!

The Narrator is one of the three caretakers of the Parable, a living library with hundreds of years worth of knowledge stored inside. It's his job to record the information he learns, and deal with the humans that find themselves inside.
Stanley is a human traveler, seeking out the Parable's knowledge.

It's beautiful, gutwrenching, loving... I really don't have the words, I can only say that it is a must read.
