    The possibility of One For All being sentient doesn't occur to Izuku at first. Honestly, his life would probably be a whole lot easier if it'd stayed that way. As if sharing his body with half a dozen spirits and trying to harness their stockpiled power wasn't enough, now they're starting to influence him. And he doesn't know how to make it stop.

    (Or: One For All is sentient and that's a problem. Really, Izuku just wants to enjoy some scrambled eggs.)

    This author is THE BEST!!! I wasn't sure how I would feel about this fic going in but I shouldn't have doubted!! Ahhh! So funny! I won't spoil it but there's a line that Izuku yells at All Might at the start of all this that well, I fucking cackled out loud for a while because that just hit right for me. Also, this ends up turning into a bit of a romance story and wasn't that a delightful surprise!

    This was one of those weird situations where I could have sworn I'd read this before but I clearly hadn't? The Matrix is fucking with me. But, it's a great story and well-paced plus it's nice to have Jiang Cheng at the center when he's emotionally capable. Growth!

    This was so fun! I love this author! I always appreciate some genderbending and the slight tweaks to canon post-Xuanyu wake-up made it lots of fun. Everyone thinking Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying were engaged was hysterical and the pacing was exciting and engaging.

    Wei Wuxian gets caught sneaking into Cloud Recesses.

    But since he can't tell the truth - that he's just here to deliver his teacher's most recent love letter to her soulmate who's stuck in a cave - he tells a lie instead. He says that he's a Jiang disciple that had arrived late and so had snuck in through the gates. He hadn't expected the lie to work, sure that it would unravel as soon as they found a Jiang to verify it, but instead Jiang Yanli backs up his story, and even adds to it.

    Which is how he ends up masquerading as the first disciple of Lotus Pier while trying to figure out how to get out of Cloud Recesses without anyone discovering that he's the disciple of Baoshan Sanren.

    I am so fucking delighted by this story. What a fun way to take canon events/character/history and just write a new and great fic. Wei Ying knowing all the sword forms was probably my favorite part but the author's continued struggles with chapter count is one of my favorite things about reading her/his/their work. It never fails to make me laugh. You'll get it if you read all of his/her/their work (and everyone should because this author is phenomenal - in any fandom).

    “Cloud Reccesses Apiary,” says a toneless, deep masculine voice, with zero question in it. Wei Ying doesn’t care, because whoever possesses that voice is probably going to come save him from bees like a fucking hero while wearing like, a suit of armor. That’s what you wear to catch bees, right?

    “I have like, so many bees outside my front door right now,” he says, mouth running out ahead of him before he can even begin to think about reining it in. “It’s like a sandstorm of bees out there. There are so many bees. I got out of my car and there were just bees and I don’t want these bees. Do you want these bees? Please tell me you will come get these bees. I can’t leave my house and I have enough food for maybe a week but then I’m gonna have to learn how to cook dry beans and no one wants that, especially not me.” Wei Ying runs out of air, takes a breath, and belatedly adds, “My name is Wei Ying. Hi.”

    This fic is an adorable and perfect little bean that I want to snuggle forever. And that's from someone who is terrified of flying bugs (and yes, I get that bees are doing work out there that is necessary and must be protected but still, eeek!).
