Summary
Geronimo shoos him inside his cozy home and into his kitchen before promptly handing him a sharp knife and a pile of carrots to chop up, and Kornelius can't help but smile. A dusty memory comes to mind, of them in a play kitchen back when they were still learning their one plus ones and how to tie their shoes, not unlike what they are doing now—except it's real.
Decades with little to no contact and already they've fallen back into a comfortable rhythm.
When Kornelius goes to see his old friend, Geronimo, to warn him of the dangers of having a predictable routine, he sure isn't expecting to be roped into helping him prepare dinner for them both. Not that he minds this turn of events.

A timely call makes him rethink.
