The hospital heart rate monitor beeped relentlessly, yet Tenn couldn’t complain. That consistent, even rhythm meant that his brother was still clinging on. Still breathing, still waiting for the right time to wake up. The doctors said that after seven years of being stuck in this coma, there really wasn’t much hope of him waking up and being mentally sound. But that couldn’t dissuade Tenn from still visiting Riku and keeping him in as healthy a condition as he possibly could. Someday, he knew his brother would wake up. But what would he be like when he finally does?
