The bed always feels coldest the first night without Lee.
When Gaara allows himself a moment of indulgence, it's to burrow himself into the sheets, head buried in pillows still smelling of his lover. He inhales deep, their scents mingling into something new and unique and better. It's as if they're interwoven into one, irreparably fused. Gaara burrows deeper into borrowed sheets, soaking in as much as he can. It will be his last chance for a long while. Blankets weigh him down and yet it feels too light, too naked, too empty without Lee's warmth to fill it out. It’s all he can think about.
