Summary
In the year 2 BC Aegon Targaryen left Dragonstone to conquered Westeros, alongside his sister-wives Visenya and Rhaenys Targaryen and there dragons. By 1 AC the Seven Lords Paramount had bent the knee to Aegon and hailed him as there King.
Aegon began the construction and design of the Red Keep in King’s Landing that same year. Aegon constructed his own throne made out of the weapons of his defeated enemies and used his Dragon, Balerion, to meld them into a seat to be feared and desired by all across the Seven Kingdom. The Conqueror declared:
“Only a worthy ruler may sit upon the Iron Throne in comfort and all those unworthy shall die”

The Queen was good to him, kind to him enough, and she shared his resentment for King Viserys´ heiress. Though he never mustered the courage to ask why and neither she brought it up. All Criston was left with were guesses. There must´ve been some betrayal between the two of them, too.

The order Queen Alicent gave him brought him, after brief hesitance, on this long path down the hall he has not walked in a year, yet still recalled it pretty well.
