The trouble with freedom, with hard-won victories and finally vanquishing the evil without and within, was they weren't the happily ever after you expected. Life kept going on and, still bleeding and bruised, you had to go along with it. Everything isn't magically fixed like it's supposed to be, and some things never will be. Sometimes the best you could hope for was a hand to hold and maybe someday to only be left with scars you could be proud of.
