“by the summer of Zuko’s eleventh year, his beloved mother was on death’s doorstep. Zuko was there in her final moments, curled against her pale form as she drew her last few rattling breaths. He held her limp hand as tightly as he could, just like she had done for him all those years ago, and looked at her with tear-lined eyes as she uttered her last words to him. And when his father removed her body swiftly and without emotion, Zuko stayed in that room for hours afterward, staring at the indent in the mattress where his beloved mother had just rested, her final words echoing through his head:
‘Remember this Zuko--no matter how things may seem to change, never forget who you are. Have courage, and be kind.’”
by day, zuko is the mistreated and indentured son of an exiled former ruler, and sokka is the charming prince of the kingdom. by night, they are the blue spirit and captain boomerang, stars of the kingdom’s underground fight club. cinderella shenanigans ensue.

Summary
An old supporter of his father approaches Zuko with a long forgotten law that declares the Fire Lord must marry before his or her twentieth birthday or else pass the throne to the next in line-- that very general's son. With only three weeks until his twentieth birthday, Zuko enlists the help of his uncle and all of his friends to find love before he loses his title to another tyrannical ruler.
But how is Zuko supposed to focus on finding love when the person he's been secretly in love with for years now, Sokka, is living in the palace and helping to set him up on hundreds of dates?
TL;DR Zuko and Sokka are both oblivious and pining but don't worry there's a happy ending

After Zuko gets banished, he ends up in Wan Shi Tong's Library. Wan Shi Tong, respectfully, says "fuck it" and claims him - sorry, *adopts. Now, Zuko spends his days in the Library, indulging his inner theatre kid and learning about anything he can. Then, three years later, the Gaang drops in.

Summary
After being burned by his father for refusing to fight him in an Agni Kai, thirteen-year-old Prince Zuko wants only two things: to restore his honor and re-earn his father's love, and to find some way to heal his face. So when a Fire Sage tells him there's a mystic spring deep under the castle that can grant him both things, he listens.
The next thing he knows, he wakes up in the middle of a city with foul air, technology beyond his wildest dreams, and lunatics on every corner. Shortly after he firebends to protect himself, a man dressed mostly in black catches him.
