Summary
See, the thing is, you weren’t born when John ectobiologized you into being, you weren’t born when your meteor crashed down to Earth, and you weren’t born when Bro gifted you your first pair of shades and dubbed you Dave Strider.
No, you were born standing on top of a Houston high-rise at six years old. You were born the first time you held a sword.
You were born holding a sword, and you’re going to die the same way.
(or: Dave, swords, and the role they’ve played in his life.)

Bookmarker's Notes
You are thirteen years old when you watch Bro take his sword to a meteor, cutting it in clean in half like a real goddamn hero. It’s the moment you realize you were right: You’ll never be strong enough for him, and you’ll never be as good as him.
—
You are thirteen years old, and there’s another you with a sword through his chest.
—
You are thirteen years old and up to your ass in imps. Somewhere between fighting them off, it dawns on you that you’ve never actually landed a hit on an opponent until now. But from the way you’re killing them left and right, you guess you got something out of your past strifes.
(When you see Rose and John holding their own in battle despite their lack of training, you try not to question that.)

Summary
Ilia’s hands drop from his face, lacing together as she sits up. She stares down at her fingers. There’s a blade of grass, caught between two of her knuckles. “They’re not going to tell your story right, either, are they?”
“No,” Link says, as gently as he can manage- like talking to a newborn goat, an injured kitten, as calm as can be. “They won’t.”
A series of days after the end of the legend: coping with the aftermath, after finally coming home.

Summary
The best she can figure out is that ERROR 1412214 is a combination of ERROR 910482 and ERROR 0394024. ERROR 910482 is a problem with the recursive function that operates the vision and zoom systems of the Divine Beast, and ERROR 0394024 means Vah Ruta is low on battery.
She thinks.
That last word either means battery, or bird shit.
Maybe she should go get Purah.
Zelda, Link, and Sidon try their hand at debugging code and/or ghostbusting.

Bookmarker's Notes
Of course it could be Mipha’s ghost. Zelda is a priestess, she knows that it could be Mipha’s ghost. Zelda believes in a vengeful Goddess—she knows very well that this universe could be the kind of universe where the only miracle is the miracle of guilt and cruelty—knowing your loves are dead, and watching, and won’t bother to pull the knife, or push it in. Either would be a kindness. The glitch could be Mipha. This universe could be the vengeful Goddess’s universe.

How do you stop an unstoppable force?
Three weeks after meeting Sonic, Tails is kidnapped by Doctor Eggman and tasked with building a machine capable of defeating the hedgehog. His success marks his first day as the doctor's secret apprentice, in which he must help the Eggman Empire against his will.
Tails becomes determined to use what little power he has to reduce the empire’s harm. When larger threats arise, he realizes that he can use his influence to save the world—and if all goes well, destroy the empire from the inside out, too.
If only alien invasions didn’t make things so complicated.

Summary
"Death is not permitted here."
The Radiance perishes and Hallownest falls silent. The infection of light spares few in its wake, turning the kingdom into a tomb filled with the bodies of the formerly afflicted. After some time spent recovering in Dirtmouth, Hornet chooses to depart the only home she's ever known. She descends one final time in search of survivors who may also wish to leave, thinking nothing of her sacrificed siblings, though she carries a pair of mismatched horns underneath her cloak.
But something else stirs beneath her feet, ancient and full of grief, and Hornet's task proves far more treacherous than she had believed, her path littered with old gods and new threats. As she delves into the darkest reaches of Hallownest, haunted with visions of the life spent there, the orphaned princess learns that she must reckon with all she has lost, before the kingdom and its secrets destroy whatever she has left.
