Summary
Yamaguchi was far less nervous in practice than any games, and he’d gotten far more skilled at serving in a few short months, so Tsukishima was utterly unprepared for the feeling of a volleyball slamming into the back of his head.
There was a beat of silence.
The ball had enough of an angle to bounce off his head and over to the other side of the net, landing neatly in front of a stunned Sugawara.
(( or: Ennoshita plots for the future, Suga wants to mess around and is intent on dragging everyone down to his level, Noya tries to become a spiker, Kiyoko is a good senpai, Yamaguchi cries, and Tsukishima wonders if he's been dropped off in the Twilight Zone without his notice ))

Summary
Living with Kuroo is sometimes, just like this. It always feels surreal like he's living half a world and a lot of things rush by too quickly. Kenma feels like he'd watched him come and go in a blink, eyes wide and wordless as the shared space went snug in an instant and far larger in the next.
All this, and a glass of water.

Summary
Red blood cells, or erythrocytes, make up around eighty-five percent of all cells in the human body. It’s an immutable fact of life–like how the sky is blue, how he’s in love with Kenma, and how the skeleton is formed from shifting, morphing living tissue. How heart valves are built to prevent the backwards flow of blood, and how, if Kenma is Nekoma’s spine, brain and heart, Kuroo will be more than just the blood that breathes life into him. He’ll form the skull around the brain, the flesh around the spine. Kuroo would be every bone in the human rib cage to lock that heart up, safe.
Kuroo would spend a lifetime with Kenma if he'd have him. He's not so sure about reliving the same day.
Or: in which Kenma can’t let Kuroo, or their shared time on the court, go.

Summary
‘ “We’ll take you to our favorite ice cream shop,” Daichi tells Suga. “It’s not fancy, but it’s really good.”
Suga waves a hand over himself, his soft, frayed shorts, and plain white t-shirt. “I was really hoping for fancy, Daichi, so I don’t know if this is going to work out.”
Daichi laughs, that warm rumble that starts in his belly, and Suga thanks all of his lucky stars that he’s walking through this nothing town right now, with this boy who is definitely something.’
--
The summer before his senior year of high school, Suga is grounded, stuck in a small town he doesn’t know, with no friends, no plans for the break, and no end in sight. Then, as luck would have it, he meets Daichi.
Suddenly, it’s a big town, and an even bigger world, with the open sky up above—and someone for Suga to reach out and touch it with, before the long train ride back home.
