With Team 7 disbanded Sakura needs a new team to go up the ranks at a normal pace, since there's no war to get her that field promotion, coincidentally Tsunade's new Gennin Exchange Program gives her two new teammates, one is kind of an asshole and the othe one is cute. At least that's what other people say, but not Sakura, not her, no sir, she would never cheat on Sasuke-kun like that... she's almost sure.
And she started to think swords are really cool, but that's completely unrelated.

Summary
This work deviates from the canon during season two, episode sixteen, right after Ino and Sakura's fight during the Chunin exams. Sakura comes to the conclusion that her crush on Sasuke is immature, and that he doesn't reciprocate her feelings, so she decides to move past it. Sakura is tired of feeling useless, and works hard to become a stronger ninja. Along the way, Sakura begins to realize that she has feelings for Ino.
