“Don't bother, you kids need to leave while she's distracted. Charlie, help get the kids out.” Ryan demanded.
“What?!”
And like that, he was faced with three options, all of which meant doing something and getting involved into a situation he was never meant to get that deep into:
1) Escape with the scary teenagers.
Freedom, something part of him longed for. ‘Plus somethings up with these kids,’ he thought, eyes lingering on Ashlyn, ‘and… she can hear the infected as well…’
2) Betray Maverick and help Ryan.
Repaying a long owed debt, something part of him felt compelled to do. ‘But will that just result in my capture?’
3) Let Ryan die and help Jasmine.
Possibly the safest option. ‘But even then, will that gain me her loyalty,’ he hesitated, ‘...and will she feel like she has mine?’
OR
One choice has the power to impact and alter so much... so what would've happened if Charlie chose differently?
