Summary
Neuvillette was many things, he was the chief justice, the Hydro dragon, a father for the Melusine’s, and most importantly, a protector of Fontaine. He was always there to protect his nation, being through justice system or fighting against the primordial sea. He was also someone who had great knowledge and intelligence, giving advice to Lady Furina on matters regarding the city and its people.
So, Arlecchino knew better than to try and steal the hydro gnosis, or fight for it. No, she was no opponent for the dragon, she needed a plan in which her biggest threat would do no harm.
But how? It seemed impossible, no vision holder would rival him, weapons would be pointless, and outsmarting him was as difficult as it sounded, all this not counting the people that would help Neuvillette defend Fontaine. Maybe a drug could work? Yes, a drug that would hold his power back, that was the plan the Knave came up with, and, with the help of Il Dottore, a substance that was capable of altering one’s age was created.
Turning the dragon into a child with no memories, no knowledge, control over his powers and defenceless. The perfect plan. Or so she thought.
