Boyfriend of one Viktor Nikiforov, who had a tendency to surprise Yuuri at every turn without much effort, because Viktor Nikiforov was probably the most extraordinary human being Yuuri had ever had the privilege of coming across in his life.
And Viktor Nikiforov... oh, Viktor Nikiforov. Top Coordinator, ruling Sinnoh Grand Festival Champion, aspiring ice-type expert at age 22. Voice like a Primarina, grace rivaling that of Meloetta, looks putting Milotic to shame.
And, despite his best efforts, still a walking disaster in the kitchen.

Summary
This YOI/Pokémon-crossover I got myself into is blowing out of proportion, and I love it!
Someone (I think it was more than one, actually) asked for character and team bios, so for all you Pokémon nerds out there, I will be publishing a few bios alongside every chapter (and possibly in between).
Warning: this probably makes zero sense if you haven't familiarized yourself with this series.
SPOILER WARNING: If you suddenly found yourself interested what this was all about - read Competing for Your Attention before reading these bios! They follow the sequel, The End of the Land and the Top of the Sky, and yes, there are spoilers!

Seven years have passed since the end of the Second Wizarding War, and with the world turning a little brighter in the aftermath, the wizarding world has grown a little closer. Mahoutokoro might be the logical school of choice if you live in Japan, and Uagadou if you live anywhere in Africa, but if Hogwarts just so happens to have a more intriguing curriculum, why not go there instead, now that they actually accept students from outside the UK and Ireland?
Well, frankly, Ludmila and Ilia had little choice but to send Viktor there just in time for his sixth year of education. With a dark wizard, or several of them, on their heels, there really had been no other option than to flee from Russia, settling down in a flat in London's West End instead, with top-rated aurors on the case and a chandelier the size of the moon in the living room.
With worry gnawing in the back of his mind and his heart attempting to hammer itself through his rib-cage, Viktor plunges himself into studies, Quidditch, too many towers, friendship, and... wait, who's that guy with black hair and glasses that suddenly set the world aflame by breathing in his general direction?

Actually, Viktor knew very well how it had come to that, but his pride wasn’t going to allow him to admit it. He wasn’t naive or blue-eyed (figuratively speaking), he wasn’t.
How was he supposed to know that hitchhiking was so stupidly unreliable a method of transportation that it would send him straight aboard a space craft full of gangster scum?
It really doesn’t help that when he somehow manages to escape the gangster scum, he runs face first into the firm chest of the most dreaded space pirate in the entire galaxy instead.
The elusive Eros, who supposedly gets what he wants, does what he wants and takes what he likes.
And apparently, he likes Viktor.

Summary
AKA: A Self-Aware Fairy Tale Retelling about a Boy who doesn't know what Adventure is (but finds it anyway)
Our boy is name Viktor. He wants to find Adventure (with a capital A), but he's a little unsure what Adventure really is, so together with his dog, he enters the Dark and Altogether Terrifying Forest to look for it. Since this is a fairy tale, Yuuri takes the role of the captive prince that is held hostage by some very foul and ugly trolls in a very cold and looming mountain.
This fairy tale is, however, self-aware. Or perhaps, self-conscious, and because of this, it takes a few rather unexpectedly expected turns. Unfortunately, there are no dragons in this story, but there are trolls and fairies and a mushroom the size of Yakov's bald spot. Oh, and a spell, too! Spells are important.
(This is a retelling of the fairy tale The Boy and the Adventure. Be afraid of all the parentheses and pop culture-references on the path that lies ahead.)
