These nightmares plague Nasira Bletz, a veteran of the Laplace Incident, during which she unlocked her latent potential as a Newtype. A year has passed since then, and in the centennial year of the Universal Century, she is being called onto the battlefield once more - this time with an elite task force targeting the Shard of Gihren colloquially known as "The Pale Communion". With her and four other elite pilots' sights set to the arid deserts of western South America, she'll have to battle with both the nightmares of her past and the visions of the future - all the while that figure looms over her dreams. The dawn slowly approaches, and the Ash Crow spreads its wings for flight.
