“Xuan’er,” Hua Cheng warned in a low tone.

Instead of doing so, with only a few feet between them, the powerful ghost stopped in his approach. “Do you not have a voice?”
“Nothing to say,” He Xuan answered.
Laughter filled the alley; a harsher look came into the brown eye which stared at him. If He Xuan were a flappable person, he may have found that focus on him disconcerting. He didn't. “Feeding like that” - a pale finger indicated the shell dissolving away on the ground - “isn’t allowed here.”
With a sluggish blink, He Xuan said, “I don’t care.”

TLDR; 5 times someone accidentally stumbled upon SY and the one time he let the world know he was still alive after he deliberately became a mushroom. Sort of.
