    Summary

Perseus Jackson is a son of Poseidon, born of a broken oath and unrestrained sea power, with ever-changing eyes and the weight of prophecy on his brow.

But Percy Jackson is also the son of Sally Jackson, the mortal who caught the eye of a God and out-stubborned the storm. A woman barely out of childhood herself who got left all alone in the world with a child with too-sharp teeth who cried tears of pearls—and still managed to keep him hidden.

Until a disastrous field trip to the New York Aquarium unravelled all her efforts. Now, Percy collides headfirst with the Greek mythological world. More protectors might seem like a blessing, but too many eyes and too many voices can’t safeguard a secret the way one determined mother can.

The tide does not ask, nor does it wait,
It drags the shore with a shifting fate.
A pull unseen, a silent claim,
A whisper wrapped in salt and name.
