Summary
Sliding onto a stool, Jason leaned forward and surveyed the room, his HUD scanning for familiar faces. A few low-level crooks he recognized from old intel sat hunched over their drinks, but none of them were the people he was looking for. He let out a quiet sigh and raised a hand to signal the bartender.
The guy who approached wasn’t what Jason had expected. Lean and quick-footed, with unruly brown hair and sharp, intelligent eyes, the bartender moved with an effortless grace that Jason immediately noticed.

Summary
No one ever took the time to explain the reasons to him, even as he grew. He'd grown used to the excess caution his father enforced within him, and he eventually stopped questioning why. It was his father, after all. He had loved him. Even if it hurt sometimes to be so lonely, even if he had to keep his hair dyed because his father said the blonde made him stand out, even if he had to endure the rage his father wore on his sleeve like a scalding fire just waiting for the chance to lick at his skin. His father loved him.
So maybe, just maybe, Tommy should have listened to him a little more. Or maybe Tommy shouldn't have trusted the stranger who knew the password, but not his own father's name. Maybe the red flags should have been more obvious.
But red was Tommy's favorite color, after all.And maybe, just maybe, a conspiratorial voice whispered in the back of his mind, he had made the right choice.

She hated herself. She knew that before she had relapsed, but it felt more real, now.
They had infinite respawns on this server. That never meant more to her than it did now. She didn’t want to respawn, she wanted to be gone . And if that meant traveling off server-
No. She couldn’t get off the server, not in the condition she was currently in.
Suddenly, she heard a panicked-sounding… person? She couldn’t pin the voice down exactly, but it was masculine, bubbly, and british. And she didn’t think it was her brother, she knew Grian’s panic voice, it was much more high pitched.
Who would be looking for her? It hadn’t been that long since she had said goodbye to Gem. And nobody should’ve been able to find her. And she didn’t want anybody to find her.
Finding her would only make the person hate her more. She would have forced them to see a gory, bloody sight.
She needed to hide, but she was losing blood, and couldn’t move properly, as she had damaged some of her muscle.
She never got the chance to even try to scuttle away when she passed out.
