Summary
Morgana Le Fay is an up and coming actress struggling with manic depression and the allure of fame. Her husband, Arthur Pendragon, and the love of her life, likewise has his own demons after coming home alive from the war with more than his fair share of survivor's guilt and trauma. Still, the two find some comfort in each other, even as their troubles cause them to turn towards dangerous means of coping, as Arthur drinks to forget his memories (becoming at times quite violent as a result of his drunkenness) and Morgana develops a dependency on her pills to deal with her mood swings as much as the anxiety she feels in the film industry and her husband's change in temperament. Yet even as she tries to adapt to life after the war (trying her hardest to live for the good times), nothing can prepare her for the sheer grief overwhelming her when Arthur, unable to live with his pain any longer, commits suicide one lonesome summer night, leaving her shell-shocked and her small world never the same.

After his long absence, Arthur Pendragon returns to Camelot, upon hearing for his father's death. He claims his crown as the rightful heir, but many things have changed since he disappeared in the dark of the night three years ago, including Morgana herself.

She almost glared at him. ''The Arthur I know has been gone for almost three years now. And I know he will never come back.'', was it sadness he heard in her voice? Longing, perhaps. He couldn't tell for sure.''I'm standing right in front of you, not even a meter away.''
She ignored him. ''And do you want to know why, my lord?'', he frowned as she moved closer to him. ''Because, he's a coward.''

It all comes to a head one night when the man’s voice follows Kevin out of his dream, frantically urging him to go to the lake and save a man called Arthur before he drowns. Following a magical blue lightning sphere, Kevin drives through the night to Dozmary Pool where he rescues a confused man who’s yelling in Cornish and struggling in the water while wearing chain mail and clutching a sword.
