Luffy grinned, his teeth catching the last of the sunlight. “Thanks for being here.”
Sanji’s breath caught. Of course he was here. He would always be here. Where else could he possibly go?
“Always, Captain,” Sanji murmured, the words slipping out before he could stop them.
Luffy laughed again, leaning against Sanji’s shoulder with the kind of easy affection that made Sanji’s chest ache. “You’re the best, you know that?”
Sanji closed his eyes for a moment, letting the weight of those words settle over him. He didn’t deserve them—not really. But he would carry them anyway, like everything else Luffy unknowingly gave him.
The sun dipped below the horizon, and the first stars began to appear, dotting the sky like scattered pieces of light. Sanji glanced up at them, then back at Luffy, who was still watching the sea with that same, unshakable grin.
And Sanji thought, Even the stars look dull compared to you.

“That’s great!” He pauses as he approaches. “Uh…does anyone know why we have an extra desk?”
Blinking, Lillie looks towards the area that Kiawe was looking in, and, sure enough, there were six desks.
“That’s what we were wondering before Lillie came in, though we thought we would be getting two new classmates,” Mallow says.
“The Professor should be here soon,” Lana reminds them. “He’ll know.”
They ponder over the extra desk for another five minutes when Professor Kukui walks in-
“Alola, class!”
-and the answer to the extra desk as well.
(Ash moves to Alola and the shenanigans begin again.)
