The sun is setting on the Last Life server. Grian has one life left, one heart, and not much to hold onto—except a crumbling base, a sword he hasn’t used in hours, and a red-named Scar who refuses to stop showing up when everything else is falling apart.
They sit together, surrounded by the ruins of what used to be alliances and homes and laughter. Scar gives him a daisy. Grian doesn’t know why that makes it harder to breathe.
In a world where everything ends, maybe the last thing that matters is who you end it with.

He drew the dagger back, and then brought it forward.
