Ever since Seb left, there’s been a hole in the pack that they haven’t managed to fill. There hasn’t been a pack omega before Seb, and now there’s not one after him either.
Technically, Max should be—he is the oldest omega on the grid, the omega that has been around the longest, but Max has never been part of the pack, and he doesn’t think he’ll ever be.
Or, the rookies think Max is the pack omega. He is not.

1.75 hrsYou are my absolute favorite F1 author EVER! Every one of your stories never fail to make my heart clench, to make me smile and cry and want to hurl myself off the closest edge.
Reading about how Max felt alone for 11 YEARS made me want to hurt everyone to be completely honest, and there is a part of me that truly believes Max should've stolen the rookies and kept them for himself. But he is too kind and forgiving. The way I would be a lava of hatred in his position, I cannot begin to describe it. How could all the older drivers not realize what they've done, how would they feel to be pushed aside and hated in such an unforgiving world AGHHH. I feel like there is so much more to this story, but I am so glad to see a positive end.
I am still happy that he is happy.
And I love how you brought in the real life elements of the races. You write so quickly! Thank you for adding more amazing words to this fandom and writing Max as more, just more. I personally love how you explore his history and his childhood in your fics! -

In an interview with Autosport Toto Wolff said “We can make accommodations if Max wanted to bring his cats to race weekends.”
However, when asked for a comment Helmut Marko rolled his eye and said “Their hospitality probably smells like dog. The cats wouldn’t like it.”
Or, Sassy Verstappen is diagnosed with asthma and Max takes his cats to a race weekend because he does not trust any other human with them

Summary

A reckless, dangerous driver, the others are slow to welcome him, instead shunning and ignoring the warning signs that blatantly flash bright. Even the media casts a shadow over the brilliance that the young boy holds inside.
