He knew he was a screw up. He tried though, He tried so hard. It just was never enough. He would never be enough. And it hurts. He could feel his heart squeeze. Feel the tears welling up in his eyes. But he couldn't cry. Not here. Not in front of Darry. Darry would say he was over reacting. Darry would hate him. He didn't know how they correlated but they did.
Ponyboy Curtis was 13 and struggling. As new problems come into his life he struggles with bad coping mechanisms.
