Grian can’t help it when he wants to pull a prank on his friend, a promise for mischievousness and fun, good times, if you would.
What Grian doesn’t expect, however, is to watch Scar get more on edge as two zombies grow to three, and that then multiplies as more come up from the hidden entrance in the ground by the trees. The more that the undead limp towards his friend, the more that Grian takes notice of the furrowed brows, the way his green eyes seem to lose that light to them.

“Do you trust them?”
“Huh?” Grian turned to look at Scar. The desert god held a confused expression, not understanding the sun god’s question. Grian felt his finger begin to circle the rim of the teacup in his hands.
“If people spoke ill of you or some wished to harm your temples, do you trust that your followers will protect your honor?” Scar’s eyes held a far away look in them for a second then he turned his head down and stared at the tea in his hand. The desert was contemplating the sun’s question and the sun was patiently waiting for an answer.
The desert looked back up to the sun.
“I do.” The sun smiled, pleased with the answer he received.

“What voices, Scar?” Martyn asks again, a bit closer now, snapping him back to attention.
“You— You know the Secret Keeper voices? When you succeed your task?” Scar asks, the words practically bursting out of him, propelled by the pressure of being kept at bay for so long.
Martyn’s eyes narrow just slightly, his gaze flickering to the Secret Keeper and then back. “Yeah, I’ve heard ‘em. We all have, far as I can tell.”
Scar nods and swallows, pasting on a shaky grin. “I hear them all the time.”
