    Wei Wuxian gets thrown into the Burial Mounds by Wen Chao. This time, Lan Wangji finds him right away. But, when Wei Wuxian gets consumed by the resentful energy that is flowing through his body, his thoughts and desires become twisted.
    Wei Wuxian immediately realises that Lan Wangji is both in love and in lust with him, and he is completely thrilled by this. Because he, too, wants Lan Wangji. He wants him for himself and only for himself. To twist him until he breaks, until he becomes a shadow of his old self. Until he is Wei Wuxian’s and nothing else.

He’s praised for his self-restraint, but at this moment it’s greatly challenged. He wants to take Wei Ying by the shoulders, shake him, devour his glossy lips, and ask him what does this mean, what does Wei Ying want from him?

    At sixteen Wei Wuxian is—through some strange twist of fate, or a nick in the layer between parallel universes, who knows—out of the blue confronted with that one incense burner dream one night.

    While his curious mind is left unable to stop poking at this new perspective on Lan Wangji, circumstances in the Cloud Recesses begin to change and Wei Wuxian is suddenly presented with life-altering opportunities.

    Maybe Gusu isn’t so bad after all?

    (Or alternatively: The fic where I get to give Wei Wuxian the academic scholarship he deserves while simultaneously getting him hitched early on.)
