It was the perfect chance for the two of them to go a step further in their relationship. And she had been so certain that she could sense Cove heading towards that same conclusion as well when she had told him about the trip. But so far he hadn't brought it up or even shown any indication that the thought had crossed his mind.
And now, as she lay there in his arms with her thoughts on this matter simmering in the forefront of her mind, she began to lose hope. And along with it, she began to lose heart.
Maybe it wasn't a matter of if he was ready or not. Maybe Cove just didn't want to go all the way with her.
